Are there any batteries comparable to the Panasonic alkaline batteries that I can buy from a regular store?

Alkaline batteries don’t vary as much as the ads imply. Any Alkaline that type will last about as long.You could also buy a charger and some Lithium batteries. They last as long as alkaline and you don’t have top keep buying new ones. Their main disadvantage is that they self discharge in a couple of months if you don’t use them.
