some people say you cant its not worth it and some people you say you can an some people do it as for living an make huge profits

people say you first should test you battery a volt meter
place it on the terminals an check at the volts
then get some wire put one down the cap hole nearest to the positive terminal an one on the + terminal and measure the volts and do this all the way to the negative terminal

some people say you put it in the fridge and then charge it

some say you can put some stuff in battery and put it on a smart charger

infusing some additives in battery

test you battery with a battery load tester or use your car as load tester and a voltmeter

you can use as well some type of battery dis charger an re conditioner gadget

Desulfation a-curs in battery over time and abuse to battery

some say get Epsom salt and distilled water mix them together
pour out old acid
put the mixture in
shake it
then put it on trickle charge
drain it a again
then put new acid in

    If the battery is dead because of shorting across the plates due to gunk build up at the bottom, there is sometimes a slight chance you may dump out the solution and install new acid, but 99 times out of a hundred, you have wasted your time.
    Usually after a few years of use, the plates are shot.
    You can buy rebuilt batteries, but they are never as good or powerful as new ones.
