Says You Can’t Use Rechargeable Batteries in Febreze Flameless Luminary-Why Not Or Could You Still?

Prego with # 2! asked:

I bought the new Febreze Luminary-Love it, only question maybe someone would know-it says you can’t use rechargeable batteries in it. Anyone know any sort of reasoning for this or do they just put this so you buy more batteries rather than using rechargeables?
Please help!

  1. T H says:

it may not work with re-chargeables

    here’s why – most re-chargeables are 1.25 V fully charged

most ‘new’ batteries are 1.5 -1.6 Volts

  2. wires says:

Many electronic items are sensitive to voltage. In cases like this, they typically say not to use rechargeable batteries because the item won’t run for any length of time before it quits due to the lower voltage. It’s not really a safety issue, just that they don’t want you to think the product is faulty because it only runs for a very short time on the rechargeable.
