Using Rechargeable Batteries with Graphing Calculator?

ChefTwister asked:

I want to know if I can use rechargeable batteries in a TI-84 Plus graphing calculator.

Would it be better than using regular batteries so often?

Do rechargeable batteries really last a long time?

If rechargeable batteries are better than regular batteries what is the best ones to get?

Use NIMH, not nickel cadmium, they don’t imprint from improper charging.

They will save you a very lot of money, but have two sets of batteries so one set is always charged and ready.
