Whats the difference between generic alkaline batteries and name brand alkaline batteries?

You get what you pay for. Generic batteries are frequently less expensive because they don’t last as long. Buy as small a pkg. of the generic batteries, and see how long the last continuously in, say a flashlight. Then do the same with a name brand. Most of the time, you wind up paying the same for a given length of performance.
